My Brother’s Keeper

I was made to be there for you.

My eyes were made to see pass your flaws.

My mind was made to understand you.

My ears were made to listen to you.

My mouth was made to pray for you.

My hands were made to wipe away your tears.

My shoulders were made for you to lean on.

My back was made to help you carry the weight.

My arms were made to embrace you.

My heart was made to love you.

My soul was made to tie to yours.

I am not above you.

I am not beneath you.

I am right beside you.

I am family—your sibling in Christ.

And, God made me to keep you—by helping you get through.

  1. Beautifully written that causes one’s heart to be confident that someone, somewhere out there, is uttering prayers for the body of Christ. Thank you, Talisha 🙂 The fervent and effective prayer of the righteous avails much and its coverage is limitless.
